Mr. Jay Hamric

Mr. Hamric was born in 1974 and grew up in Spencer, West Virginia. He graduated from Spencer High School, and then went on to Graduate from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He recieved his M.E.D from Lehigh as a young University child.While he was growing up, his family would always travel to different states; he claims he caught the "travel bug". When he grew up, he had already seen all of America and decided to visit other countries around the world. He just didn't visit othercountries, he actually taught and lived in them! He was the principal for four years at the International School of Shekou, China. After this, he became the principal of the International School of Sarajevo for another four years. He also worked in schools located in Africa and the Solomon Islands.
Mr. Hamric now lives in Canaan Valley, West Virginia. He is happily married to his wife, Heidi, who works at Tucker Valley Elementary Middle School.They have three children who
attend Tucker Valley as well. He says, "I love working at TCHS. I think we have excellent students and a highly dedicated teaching staff. We are working hard to become one of the best schools in the state."
